UPromise and CENTURY 21Morningstar recently ranked Alabama’s 529 College Savings plan among the worst in the country. If you are like many Alabamians, you may be looking for an alternative to save for your child’s college education. Let me introduce you to a way to save up to $3,000?from the sale or purchase of a home toward your childs (or childrens) college education.

The program is called UPromise. UPromise is free and takes only a few minutes to join. Once you join, you request your “CENTURY 21″ broker at the “Services” section of their website. If the home you are buying or selling is in Dothan, our office will receive your information and contact you to get the process started. At closing, UPromise will?put a percentage of the sale price of the home you bought or sold into a savings account for your child’s college. The savings doesn’t stop their however. UPromise makes it easy to save money for college through the purchase of items we use everyday. Check out their website for more information.
