Living in southeast Alabama, just minutes from the home of the tomato, makes me somewhat of an authority on the subject, although I am still not sure whether it is a fruit or a vegetable.
There is another type of tomato out there that I want to bring to your attention today however. I am talking about the blogging tomatoes, clients of the Real Estate Tomato.
This is a group of real estate and mortgage professionals whose goal is to give their knowledge of their respective markets to the readers of their blogs. Each week, I am going to post in this space a few select posts from these fellow tomatoes. My hope is that this information will be relevant and valuable to the readers of dothanhomesearch.com.

What home buyers should be doing is a common theme this week. Gena over at SacramentoRealEstateVoice does a good job of reminding us that you can’t pin the tail on the bottom of the Real Estate Market until it has passed
We finally had our first cool snap of the season last week here in Dothan. Margaret from FocusOnCrofton gives her readers (and you!) some valuable tips on saving money on home heating costs this winter
For our readers just across the border in Florida, Janis at PortOrangeJuice has excellent coverage of a new Florida roof law. For those Dothanites (is that right?) that own vacation or second homes in the sunshine state, this is must reading.
Paula and Linda over at IndyRealEstateTalk talk about a subject that we have covered here on dothanhomesearch.com. You can’t underestimate the importance of emotional and visual appeal of a home when courting potential buyers.
Jackie sizzles over at the RealEstateSizzle with more tips on selling in a buyer’s market.
Both Jerry from OnlineReason and Tracey at BlogCalabasas talk about the importance of hiring the right agent to list your home. Jerry gives you the right questions to ask, while Tracey gives you the questions you need to ask yourself about your choice.
Attention all renters! Cindy over at VARealEstateTalk wants you to know what can happen if your landlord isn’t paying his mortgage. Maybe you should be buying instead!
Yes, maybe you should be owning instead of renting. Uncle Jack over at VeryVintageVegas gives us ten reasons why its a great time to buy real estate. Good information that is applicable in all markets, including Dothan!
And last, but certainly not least, John from just up the road at LakeMartinVoice relates the reasons for buying lake property NOW in terms I can understand. What time will the steaks be ready John?
