The KaBOOM organization is a national play advocacy group with a mission to establish “…a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America”. Dothan is one of only 31 cities in the US to be selected for the designation of “Playful City”.

Very cool that Dothan was voted one of the most playful cities! I especially liked how you put a custom map up for the community members of Dothan could reference recreation spots.
Charles- What an honor for the city of Dothan! You’ve provided a great map of parks for families to enjoy local parks
Charles - Congratulations! Can’t beat the positive press of being a Playful City. Families with children love cities like Dothan when searching for a home.
I didn’t see the Kiwanis park on your map. I’m new to the area, and that one is my children’s favorite! We also enjoy picnics at Eastgate park. By the way, love the website and the resources you continually provide! Thank you!
Thanks Melanie! I can’t believe I forgot that one.
I also added Ramsey Park, which located at the corner of Virginia and Suzanna.
If you see any others that we missed, please let me know.
Congratulations to Dothan! Dothan must be a great place for kids to be selected for the designation of ?Playful City?.
