Karl - You are so right. It is a ever evolving personal experience. I myself didn't have a good grasp of just how personal it would be until I started on this journey.

Well said Terry!

Thanks. I have tried to explain so many times that the blog is about writing to the people who live inside of my computer and who are looking for me. I am writing to them and they are writing to me. Google seems to hook us up even though I don't stuff my posts with keywords. :) Have a great 2008 and just keep blogging. :)

To me blogging is a natural extension of what I do every day, talking about Charlotte real estate and communities, things to do here, and why people should consider moving here when they get the opportunity- except I do it with a wider audience online.

Because we have so many folks moving here from out of town- 80,000 in 2006 alone, I try and address the many questions and concerns they have, and build a relationship with that larger audience.

This naturally turns to business for me- which is good because the amount of time required to write, maintain and think through a quality blog is large~ so I am happy to report it generate business. But not like a newspaper ad, more like talking to a friend's friend in the business.

Good post. Many people take many approaches to blogging with varying results. I think it's an ever evolving personal experience for each blogger. Fortunately I don't have any bad habits to resolve to quit in the new year. My resolutions boil down to getting more focused on fitness, spiritual growth and business organization. I can't wait for the new year and all the great new experiences coming my way. May the Dothan real estate market be good to you in the coming year.
